Eleni Papaleonardos is an actor/director/creator, a proud member of Available Light [theatre] (AVLT), and a visiting assistant professor of theatre at Denison. She holds an M.F.A. in Theatre: Contemporary Performance from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Eleni has created new work with The SITI Company and The Tectonic Theatre Project; directed new plays with EAT Theatre and AVLT; and has worked as an actor with Meredith Monk and the House, Actors’ Theatre of Louisville (and the Humana Festival), AVLT, Actors’ Theatre of Columbus, EAT Theatre, Hand-Dog Theatre, Phoenix Theatre for Children, and Total Theatre. Eleni was recognized in the Alive, the Columbus Dispatch, and by the Central Ohio Theatre Critics Circle for her work as the title role in Mary Stuart with Actors’ of Columbus. She lives in Granville, Ohio with her husband, Mark, and her three cats, Red, Mary Todd, and Kevin.
