Chris Wilkinson takes on the Anonymous ones

Chris Wilkinson of The Guardian saved us the trouble of summing up a recent brouhaha brewing online about the nefarious practice of side-swiping at others from behind the protection of a pseudonym, username, or a complete lack of identification. A number of bloggers are in on this discussion.

Start here, at the Guardian, and be sure to follow-through with Scott Walters, where he writes:

The fact is that if all the artists in the world would just put on their Big Artist Undies and learn how to welcome criticism as valuable feedback, then all those people who are right now too cowardly to state an opinion without benefit of a curtain of anonymity might follow suit and put on their Big Person Undies and learn to speak their mind in a thoughtful and civil way.
As for me, I'll quote my fellow Forte-blogger, Brant Jones, who signs his forum posts this way: "Stand behind your words. Give up your pseudonym."
