The Disappearance of Janey Jones
by Jennifer Fawcett
3.16.09 - 7:15pm - 1100 Morse Rd. (Morse Rd. Family Dental)

From the amazing author of then after water.

How do you keep your life from spinning out of control when you can't even get out of bed? How do you cure a disease that's all "in your head"?

In this hopeful and darkly humorous new play, reality collides with fantasy, past and present threaten the future, and a courageous young woman faces the demon that has tortured her family for three generations. The Disappearance of Janey Jones asks probing questions about the state and status of mental illness in today's society. The Ottawa Citizen called it "amusing, intelligent and gripping and The Edmonton Sun calls it "flawless".

Their worlds collide in a chain of events that will leave you asking yourself: what would I do to become a top search term on Google?

From NYtheatre dot com: "I Google Myself is a canny Internet Age thriller, but it's really finally about something eternal in human nature".

Playwright Jason Schafer wrote the screenplay of the award-winning indie film Trick and was a writer on the first season of the American television series Queer as Folk.

Everything Will Be Different: A Brief History of Helen of Troy
by Mark Schultz
7.25.07

Like a dangerously funny teen movie set in the too-real world, Everything Will Be Different: A Brief History of Helen of Troy is a sassy, unflinching portrayal of burgeoning sexuality and emotional immaturity.

Time Out London called it "a remarkable American play", and the Daily Telegraph called it a “bang on the money portrait of adolescent angst" and a "provocative delight from start to finish.”

Accidental Rapture by Eric Pfeffinger
8.29.07 - 7:30pm - Columbus Dance Theatre

Accidental Rapture is a revelation in more ways than one. Two couples happen to get together for a visit on the same weekend that the apocalypse hits. One pair are born-again Christians, the others are staunch humanists. Worldly cities are destroyed, fire rains from the skies, lifelong friendships are tested, and everyone has good, hearty laugh or two.

Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune says Toledo-resident Eric Pfeffinger's play "is an original, brilliantly intelligent and laudably ambitious new script that's not only driven by a great premise, but also is marked by that rare kind of sharp-edged dialogue." Hedy Weiss of the Sun-Times writes "This is a play laced with so many religious, social and philosophical premises, and with such a zinging look at 'the culture wars,' that you may find yourself running to catch up with it all."
